“Each piece evokes its own quest for balance: between the restrained strength of raw earth and the fragile openness of the gesture.
I love to play with this subtle tension that emerges where matter becomes powerful and form asserts itself with delicacy. Beyond the material, it is a more elusive search — an impulse of the heart toward an ever-shifting harmony.
The horse embodies this energy, both intense and sensitive.
I felt it deeply during the photo session with Ébène. Amid the surrounding bustle, he — completely free — offered me his trust; that suspended moment of balance, when we were pressed close together, in perfect harmony.

“The exhibition by French ceramic artist Géraldine Pillot and Portuguese photographer Policas is an exercise in balance on multiple levels.
A balance between the fragility of porcelain and the stability of the photographic image.
A balance, too, between the delicacy of the pieces and the powerful strength of the horse — photographed in relation to the ceramics, beside them, as if to convey this very idea of equilibrium: both subtle and forceful.
There is also a balance of colors, created by the contrast between white and its variations, and the depth of absolute black.
And finally, a balance of forms — between the celestial breath and the earthly equine presence.”
